          雨石，1958年生于北京，自幼师从徐之谦、徐柏涛、张砚波，曾在驰名中外的北京萃文阁从事书法篆刻职业工作多年。

          雨石，擅楷书、工蝇头小楷、铁线篆，精通金石篆刻。他以30年研习蝇头小楷，做到“书法当从小楷出”。他以20年研习铁线篆，形成方中有圆，圆中有方，刚劲如铁，纤细流畅的风格，人见人爱。他刻印4万多方，当今罕见，他将籀文笔意大胆引入圆朱文，以书入印，个性鲜明，人称铁笔雨石。

          2015年《雨石楷书岳阳楼记》由中国大地出版社出版，全国发行。他文史哲功底深厚，发表艺术评论文章数十篇。

          他视虚名如粪土，每日临池，雷打不动，媒体称其为纯粹的书法篆刻家。
