读大卫.霍克尼《隐密的知识》有感


一.


“什么是艺术的真实”

对这个问题的回答就会形成

各种艺术价值观  审美  风格 流派


塞尚的真实与维米尔的真实就不同

毕加索的真实与卡拉瓦乔的就不同

东方艺术的真实与西方艺术就不同


绘画从

客观再现

主观表现

抽象构成

观念构成

再到对边界的无限扩张

都是对“真实”不同回答的结果


严格说来“真实”是相对的

绝对的“真实”无法表达

甚至无法认识


人的“视知觉”是神经信号传导的结果

在大脑破码  整合 编译 输出的过程中

已不是外界的真实

而是经过后台处理过的

信息加工产品


人们是在这个产品中

看到在二维空间上

模仿三维空间的幻象

它并不真实


西方的文化精神是崇尚理性的

所以科学高度发达

这种科学精神决定了

写实绘画的观察和表达


古典油画

追求二维平面上

精准塑造所看到的立体世界

这一切仰仗科学的认知


五.四运动之后

写实油画传入中国

时至今日八大美院的基础造型课

还是这一套训练方法


这种训练

最有问题的是画光影

而忽视了结构


其实光影不是真实的物

特别是花很长时间

画一幅光影的素描

都是在浪费时间


虽然年轻人

大学四年已掌握了

空间  透视  体积  比例

三大面五调子

但并不会创作

也没学懂艺术


对各类画种的评价

也是哪个更逼真更科学

哪个就是尊贵的画种


记得在我上大学的八十年代

美术学院有很强的“鄙视链”

油画看不起国画

雕塑看不起绘画

版画看不起年画


其实潜台词就是

画得不象

就没本事

画得不精准

就很笨

不科学的就很低级


在绘画制作手段上

也有“鄙视链”

临摹

打格子

画照片

描幻灯

描喷绘

都被视为造型的低能儿


只有写生与默写

才是硬功夫


那时

科学至上

理性至上

西方至上

占据上峰

然而

大卫·霍克尼在《隐密的知识》中

却揭发了令人震惊的秘密

那些我们崇拜的五体投地的

西方古代绘画大师

那些逼真的写实作品

是用了一个失传的秘密方法

也就是光学仪器


这个手段就是借助镜子

或者透镜在画布上投射出

阳光下物体的影像

然后用笔把这些影像描绘出来

达到欺骗视网膜的目的


今天的中国

还有一些和照片叫劲的

照相写实画家在那自豪

他们用的手段

也是借助光学仪器


在大卫·霍克尼看来

西方古代绘画

那种逼真

是虚假的

不是我们眼睛

真实感受到的有生命的东西

高超画艺不过是

临摹镜子的投影而已

大卫.霍克尼在书中

他认为塞尚的作品

追求的不是一种视觉上的真实

而是一种心灵的真实


而布格罗画得很细腻

看似很逼真

但这是一种迷惑视网膜的欺骗

都比西方的高级而真实

从来不用文艺复兴发展出来的

对风景的态度和欧洲人不同

欧洲人是通过一扇扇窗户来看风景

中国人是随着景色漫步

观者就在景中
